Manually exclude posts works only for one post

Meanwhile, please?go to the page where you exclude posts in your administration panel and add some posts for exclusions. Without refreshing the page, open developer tools, by pressing?Ctrl +Shift +J? on your keyboard, or by right clicking anywhere on the page and click on Inspect Element. A new panel will open. There, go to Console tab and make a screenshot or copy the errors that appear there and send them to me at contact [at] autoaffiliatelinks [dom] com .

Can you also check and confirm that updating and deleting links is working? I am trying th figure out if it is a general javascript problem or it is localized to the specific operation of adding posts to exclusion list.

There is also an alternate way to add posts to exclusion list. Please go to the edit screen of the post you want to exclude, and at the bottom of there are settings for Auto Affiliate Links. You might need to expand that section and check the box to exclude that specific post. Check the box and save the post. Go back to Post exclusion page and see if the post you excluded from the edit screen appears there.

Very good debugging questions.

1. I tried deleting a exclusion and as you suspected, it doesn’t work. I click X under Actions and it disappears, but when I refresh the page it comes back. I don’t know how to update the link, I didn’t find such option.
2. I have added the posts to exclusion list by editing the post and checking the checkbox. This way it works and when I refresh the list the post appears there. None of the previous post on the list get deleted.
   
   I have added two links this way. The first post appeared correctly, but with the second post something weird happened. The post was added twice to the table with the same title but different post ID. The link with the wrong post ID isn’t pretty link like others, but a link in form of /?p=ID. If I click on the link, a 404 page is displayed (post with that ID doesn’t exist yet).

I have tried scenario 2) again today by excluding some posts in the Post Edit screen. However, none of the posts showed up in the Excluded posts list. The list is shown as empty.

On a positive note, excluding through Post Edit screen works as expected. None of the links are created if the checkbox is checked – regardless if nothing is shown on the Excluded list.

So I guess it’s a general Excluded list (javascript) error.

Hello. I have tried but I was not able to replicate your issue on our test servers. Maybe there is an adbocker or some other script that is blocking the javascript.

Are other parts of the plugin admin area that requires javascript working? For example link deletion, link update, etc?

Hello, that’s weird. I have no idea what would be special in my setup for it not to work. I shouldn’t have any blockers enabled.

I can’t update or delete links, because I see the list of excluded posts as empty, so no actions are available:
Excluded Posts
No excluded posts.

It just crossed my mind that I’m using Firefox. Maybe that’s important too, so I’ll give it a try in Chrome.

I just tried it in Chrome and it’s the same: no excluded posts are shown. So I guess it’s not the browsers or adblockers fault.
