• Is it possible to add a little piece of code to an individual post (custom post type) that would load a modal, or set of modals, on that post only? I don’t want to set the modal to load sitewide because that causes all kinds of other problems.

I know there is an easier way to target modals on Popup Maker but I am having compatibility issues with that so I am still on Easy Modal for now. Thanks.

Is the Easy Modal Settings section not shown on your CPT?

    If not check this out.

No, it’s not showing up on the CPT.

Where would I add the suggested code? Also, is the only thing that needs to be changed in the code the part that says “portfolio-items” in the example?

@colin.dissentmag – Sorry for the delays. Have you considered upgrading to Popup Maker? Free and way more functionality.

    Daniel,

could you explain the difference between easy modal and popup maker? I am not sure what the difference is and whether one of them will cease support one day?
    Thanks,
    Sascha

@landwire – Popup Maker is technically Easy Modal v3. It is a rebranded version that will continue to gain development and features. We didn’t want to make some of the drastic changes both in branding and functionality in Easy Modal as it would have likely broken a lot of installs which for us was not an option.

There are built in migration utilites that will make moving from Easy Modal to Popup Maker quick and easy and PM in general is a way more capable and well rounded plugin. Feel free to look at the reviews we have gotten in just the last 4 months since release and you can see what I mean.

Just try it, if you don’t wanna keep it simply uninstall and reactivate Easy Modal, it doesn’t remove any of your settings etc, it simply migrates them into the new format accordingly.

Here is a quick guide on how easy the migration is. https://wppopupmaker.com/docs/getting-started/upgrading-from-easy-modal-to-popup-maker/

Ok, I’ll give it a shot. Glad I do not have to change all those classes ??

I am just using the free easy modal version though. Do I need a licence of some sort? Or do just the extensions to popup maker cost money?

Nope existing EM customers get upgraded for free :). Need to add a link to that guide above. Fill this out and Ill try to get you processed in just a bit.

Be sure that your email matches the one you purchased with as I can only approve it if I can track down the old purchases, otherwise we gotta go manually and get you to send in reciepts etc.

    Daniel,
I never purchased EM and for now I just need the basic functionality of PM. In that case I assume I just install PM and then migrate the modals. Correct?
