Integrity link checker app and Google Chrome Developer are both coming up with 403 forbidden on nearly all our posts.
When I deactivate Anti Spam by CleanTalk (v 6.6) and check again, no 403s are reported.
We have a SiteGround Cache plugin, which I have purged, as well as the Caching on the SiteGround website itself.
There is nothing on our .htaccess which would limit access.
We do have S2Member plugin protecting some of our content, but many pages and posts with no protection are reported as 403.
I have switched “Cookies” off in CleanTalk settings, but it made no difference, so I re-set it to “On”.
Fortunately, the links work OK if clicked, but the situation clearly isn’t right. If they are not forbidden, they should not be marked as such.
Any help will be gratefully received.
    Andy

    Hello, @andynick

Do you mean you see this error in the browser console “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403”?

    Thanks for the quick reply.
That’s correct – this is from Google Chrome Developer:
“Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ()”

    Please do the following:

WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Advanced Settings —> disable “Use AJAX for JavaScript check” —> Save Changes.

    Did it help?

    Sadly, no.
I disabled “Use Ajax for JavaScript check” (and saved it).

Then I purged SiteGround Cache, and flushed the cache on the SiteGround website too.
