many access attempts in spite of having blocked all IPs

daily I have many access attempts to my site, I chose to block access to login.php and the wp-admin folder through the .htaccess, try trying to access from other computers and it works (apparently) but I still get a lot of emails for this plugin access attempts from different IPs, is it so easy to circumvent the IP blocking? or what can be happening?
