Hi there. Noticing on the upgrade to the new version of Youzify that many of the options to put into the sites menu are now missing. The one in particular I need back is the “My Profile” one, as just “Profile” goes to the settings and not the actual profile itself. To show what I am talking about are in the images below. The first 2 are all the menu options available in previous version of Youzify v1.2.3 and the final image is what is left in the new version v1.2.5 (1.2.4 did the same thing and I had to revert back due to these missing menu options). Really hope these will be put back in future release.

    Old version menu options:

This is all that is left in the new version:

Edit to add that I did enable BP Classic, and also disabled BP Classic with no difference in options available, along with purging all caches, refreshing browser, trying different browser, disabling cache altogether. Nothing brought back the menu options except for reverting back to previous version of Youzify.

    Hello @mandifaux,

    Thank you for reaching us

    1. Please make sure you update your Youzify to the newest version (Free version is 1.2.5)

    2. Make sure you update your Buddypress to 12 and disable BP Classic Plugin. Because Youzify 1.2.5 no loner works with BP Classic.

    3. Clear your website cache, and then go to settings >> permalinks and make sure to select “Post” and click save.

    Best Regards, KaineLabs Team.

Hi again. Just tried all of that, newest version of Buddypress (12.1.1), disabled BP Classic, cleared all caches (even disabling LS Cache), made sure the permalinks were set to post (its called postname on mine), even disabled OPCache and Redis on the server side. Tried different themes including default Twenty Twenty Three and Twenty Twenty Four. Nothing restored those menu options under Appearance > Menus. To make sure I again tried Youzify 1.2.4 and nothing. Something about the change after 1.2.3 has caused those options to disappear as 1.2.3 has them even with the newest version of Buddypress. My WordPress version is latest too, 6.4.2, and server is php 8.0.30. Also noting I tried both Buddypress Nouveau and Buddypress Legacy template pack, again did not bring back the menu options.

Hi again. Yes I made sure Buddypress Members and Buddypress Directories were enabled in the Menus area. Even disabled them, purged all caches then enabled them again, purging caches to refresh and still those menu options do not appear.

    Hello

    Such a weird issue.

Please try to do a conflict test to investigate it further

    1. Deactivate all of your plugins. If this solves the problem, gradually activate your plugins one by one, until you spot the problematic plugin.
    2. Change your WordPress theme to WordPress TwentySeventeen (or other default WordPress theme).
    3. If you have a caching plugin, make sure you deactivate it, or even better – purge the cache.

Also please try to disable Youzify and check if the issue persist or solve. If the issue persist, so that’s mean, the issue does not come from Youzify. ??

    Best Regards, KaineLabs Team.

Back again. I deactivated all plugins on a couple sites,, and reactivated only Buddypress and Youzify, the links did not return. Changed themes to default ones, still the links didn’t return. Cleared all caches, deactived the cache plugin (LS Cache), still no change. I even setup a testing subdomain with fresh install of WordPress then installing only Buddypress and Youzify using only default themes, still those menu links are not there (trying with php 7.4, 8.0, 8.1 and 8.2), and made sure all required php modules were activated.

Youzify is the one that put the extra Buddypress menu links in there so removing it didn’t help. I can give you the login for that testing – fresh install if you want to see it.

    Hello @mandifaux

Such a weird issue. Can you please tell me the list of link you want on the menu? For “My Profile” link, you can create a new URL menu and put URL with this format

    https://yourwebsite.com/members/me/

Put “me” and it will redirect to members own profile page if they click it.

It is really strange. I even was looking through the repository to try and see if I could locate any change referencing the wp menu function and couldn’t find anything there. Yet somehow 1.2.3 is the last version those menu links appear.

The one problem with manually adding that link (using /me or the other snippits) is that it stays there regardless of logged in status or not, making the link return 404 error for non logged in users. Also the snippits (shortcodes) way doesn’t work on some themes.

Only one I would like to see return is the “My Profile” menu option. Personally think the rest is a bit much, and the regular “Profile” link doesn’t go to the actual profile, just a settings – options page, which is not fluid navigation like it is with v1.2.3.

    Hello @mandifaux

Actually you can use CSS to hide the menu for non logged-in users. You can use class

    .not-logged-in
