Many persons one user

  • I’d like to have a protected section which provides content to some users. I think about using “User Access Manager” plugin.

    I already got some offline users and they will get a username.
    I don’t want to create a user for each of them.

    is it possible to share a user for all that persons?
    I know of problems with user locking or password change (but i don’t care).

    Are there any (technical) reasons e.g. problems with sessions why this is not fine?

  • No (well atleast to my level of understanding – I stand to be corrected). You can rather create additional strict user roles making use of various plugins. All the users can fall within the predefined user roles instead.
