Many plugins freeze my WordPress 2.0.4

  • Hi!

    Just started out with WP 2.0.4 and its working well … sort of.

    But, many of the plugins (popular ones all around) I tried installing just wont work. As soon as I activate them the whole site freezes up and shows and empty page. Only solution is to completely remove the plugins folder again. In fact, I’ve NEVER had a proper error message at all.

    Still, some plugins like SK2 and Diagnosis works just fine.

    I’m sure I’m missing something here, but what?

    Listing the plugins maybe that are causing the issues? ??

    There was a heathly list of plugins on the mailing lists that worked with 2.0.4.

    What are ‘the mailing lists’?

    Hi again,

    All the plugins that failed are are recommened via the official WP pages. Examples are: pxs_analytics, wp-contactform-1.4.3 and wp-notable.

    Tried about three more but already tossed them.

    Any ideas?

    I only have the 2.1a2 list near and none of those made it (yet?).

    I suggest you check the author’s site(s) regarding updates or work-arounds…
