Many problems after Twenty Seventeen Update.

Hi, I am using a Twenty Seventeen child theme. WordPress version 5.0.3. I have searched the forum and online and unplugged plugins and cleared the cache but cannot find a solution that works. I have updated Twenty Seventeen this evening.

The big change recently as well as updating the theme and was changing from PHP 5.6 To PHP 7.2. Prior to making the changes I checked using PHP Compatibility Checker plugin which showed that all of my plugins were compatible.

My Sliderify gallery plugin was acting strange when i’m in my WordPress dashboard. So i’m now trying PhotoSwipe Masonry gallery which also has the same problems. When installing the plugins it showed they were both compatible with my wordpress version.

I cannot add certain images to my gallery. Many of the images are .jpg’s, photos of paintings which do show but actual photos will not show. They are in my media library and show when I click add to gallery but then do not show on the page i’m editing or on my site. I uploaded them all again from my pc but they still do not show.

I have asked the plugin creators about this problem but have not had an answer.

Also after updating Twenty Seventeen, the code for my page pagination has gone from the code editor although the page numbers show on the site. Also, although the plugin Footer Mega Grid Columns shows it is active in my plugins, it has gone from the customizer and my footer has also gone from my site. Again I have asked the plugin author but have not had a reply yet.

Another big problem is that the update button in the editor does not work. It is barely visible and not clickable.

I am at a loss! Any help will be much appreciated.
