Many shortcodes have vanished

  • After upgrading from v4.6 to 5.1 all shortcodes created after January 5 2020 have vanished. So I have to go back to 4.6. Any idea why many of my shortcode have vanished?

    I can see that the shortcode from before this date has been automatically renamed from

    [sc name=”MDR Klassik”] to [sc name=”mdr-klassik”] but why have only some been taken in to the new version. I will go back to v.4.6 and rename a few shorcodes to see if it is the name causing them not to display under All Shortcodes.
    The players displayed were created before January 5, the others are all missing.

    Hi @philipsz,

    There is no known issue like this.

    The migration happens in the background and you might have seen it half way.

    Now that you have moved to v4.6, upgrade does not initiate until a new version is released.

    Now I need to manually initiate the upgrade.

    You have version 4.6 installed. Update to 5.1. View version 5.1 details.
    Compatibility with WordPress 5.3.2: 100% (according to its author)

    It is already available through WordPress and I have installed it, I have reverted back to 4.6 due to missing shortcodes.

    Hmmm… Actually I was looking for the last time or the last version you upgraded and found missing shortcodes.

    As I said you might have seen the list half way during upgrade.

    Can you please try upgrading again ?

    Or else please send me the requested details. I’ll have a direct look.
