  • Just a guess, but as these pages aren’t real, if you have an SEO plugin installed that plugin will only find the template page. If I search your company name the first result is the template page with brackets in Google showing. There is probably a default setting in most SEO plugins to define each page it finds as the canonical version. IE forget all others and concentrate on this one as the real page address to avoid duplicates – which is the template according to the SEO plugin, the only one it can see. So although you include the sitemap of variations I guess if the canonical text the SEO plugin places in the template page is read by google, it tells Google ignore my various virtual version urls in the sitemap and only index my actual template page as the best authoritative result, which is the bracket version. I’m sure the developers could tell us if that’s a right or wrong assumption.

    Hello @humanatv,

Thank you for using MPG and please accept our apologies for the delayed reply!

When it comes to indexing pages on Google, there are many motives for it to fail but we can try and reduce them.

Can you please check Google Search Console and perform a live test of a sample URL to make sure the page has no indexing errors? From the screenshots attached I couldn’t see that.

If there are no errors, can you please check if you have any redirection plugins or settings on your website? If you do, can you please deactivate them and see if the indexing takes place?

Also, have you followed this documentation when generating the sitemap?

Thank you and please let us know about your findings!
