Many Widgets or lots of code in one Widget?

    Just a general question regarding keeping the upload time down…

    I have read that if you have many widgets on your site it will slow the load time considerably. With that in mind, can anyone confirm which of the following options I should apply;

    1) Have many widgets with html code for picture links to other pages and other sites

    2) Have one or two widgets with a lot of html code to many links to other pages and other sites

    Example below – I have truncated this but one widget might have 5 or 6 links
