    Hi there,

I came across your plugin, and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for! However, I can’t for the life of me, get it to display on my website.

Following you instructions, I installed the plugin and configured it via my dashboard. I then added the short-code, “[wp-visited-countries width=”400″ height=”200″]I’ve visited {num} out of {total} countries. That is {percent}%.[/wp-visited-countries]” to a page. Saved, and published.

However, upon previewing that page, only the text part is displaying (“I’ve visted X countries…). Where is the map??

    I appreciate your help!!

    Liz

    Hi Liz,

the map is based on Flash, so it will only be displayed if your browser supports Flash. If you are not sure about this, have a look at this website: https://mindofahitchhiker.com/hitchhiking-routes-trips-and-maps/
Can you see the map on this site?

If you are sure that this is not be problem, please post a link to your website.

    Cheers,
    Jonas

Hi, Jonas! Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes, I can see the map on Mindofahitchhiker.com. Flash is enabled on my browser (Google Chrome).

This is the page I’m trying to get to display:
    https://tickettotakeoff.com/destinations/

The text is showing, but not the map.

Do I need to install something additional, like, ammap to get this to work?

    Thanks again for your help!

Okay. Can you try without the width and height parameters if that is working? If no, try without the text, just [wp-visited-countries]

    Hi Jonas,

I removed the width/height parameters, and still, the map doesn’t show.

    – You can view the result here: https://tickettotakeoff.com/destinations/
    – The only text inputted on this page is the following: [wp-visited-countries]I’ve visited {num} out of {total} countries. That is {percent}.[/wp-visited-countries]
    – Flash is enabled on my browser. I’m using Google Chrome, and have tested other browsers as well without success.
    – I’m using EasyMag theme (https://daisythemes.com/support-forum/forum/easymag/) but don’t see any tickets with the same issue. I don’t believe the problem is caused by the theme.
    – If it’s helpful, I can provide screenshots of my configurations via email.

    Questions:
    – Do you experience the same problem when testing? What version of WordPress are you using?
    – Is Mindofahitchhiker.com also a WordPress site? How has the short-code been inputted there?
    – Does ammap, or any other plugins/code have to be installed in order to make the map function? (All I’ve done is installed the plugin, activated it, configured a test country, and added the short-code. Are other steps necessary?)

Thanks again for your time. I appreciate it (a lot!!).

    Hi Liz,

when I visited your website the first time, nothing showed up. Now, I can see the map. You’ve been to Argentina (which is funny, because that’s where I currently am). Is it working for you now as well?

Mind of a Hitchhiker is also a WordPress site. The shortcode is in there without width and height.

There are no other plugins which have to be installed. Ammap is included in the plugin.

Is it working now for you?

    Cheers,
    Jonas

Look at that! Must have taken some time to update. The map is now displaying.

If there’s a way to assign width, that’s even better. I’d love it to stretch 100% width.

    Thanks again for your help.

Doesn’t look like the map works on mobile…

I’ll have to discontinue use of this plugin due to the limitations of size and devices. ?? Too bad too, because the format is perfect.

Yes, due to the Flash-base it won’t work on most mobiles. I hope to find the time to update the whole thing to the new non-Flash version of ammap, but can’t make any promises yet.
