    Hi there,

Google now requires all Maps to use their new API Keys. You’ll need to create an API key and integrate it into our settings.

We have updated documentation on that here:
    https://wordimpress.com/documentation/maps-builder-pro/creating-maps-api-key/

Let me know how that goes and if you have any further trouble. Thanks!

    Hi Matt,

Thanks so much for your help! Integrating the API sort of worked — I’m not getting the same error message anymore — but I’m still having trouble making the map show up while I’m creating it. I can see the map if I preview the post/page on the front end, but I can’t see anything on the backend/Map Builder, and it’s not letting me search for locations and add pins.

    Same issue :O

    Hi there,

Ya, Google has made A LOT of changes to their API and API requirements recently. We’re working on an update to the plugin which we’ll roll out as soon as we can. But we find generally that users are still able to use the current version.

That to me suggests you most likely have a plugin conflict.

Please disable all other plugins except Maps Builder. If it works as expected at that point, re-activate each plugin one by one and check the functionality again until you experience the problem again. Then let us know which plugin caused the conflict and we’ll work on a workaround.

If after deactivating all plugins it still doesn’t work as expected it’s most likely then your theme. Switch to Twenty Sixteen and it should work fine (you won’t loose your theme settings and can safely switch back to your theme and all will be well again). If it works as expected after switching to Twenty Sixteen, point me to the theme you are using and I’ll see what I can come up with.

    Thanks!

    Hi Matt,

Thank you so much for all this help. I did what you suggested and deactivated all the plugins and the map still wasn’t showing up on the backend. I think it must be something with my theme. I installed the plugin on my other site to see if it’d work there, and it did. The theme I’m having compatibility problems with is called Lorelei. Let me know if you have any ideas on how I could get the plugin working and thanks!

    Hi Matt!

I was able to get my map to show up on my page, but for some reason not all of the info boxes are popping up with the info in them. I typed info in on the backend, and when I check it there, it shows up — just not on the published map. Do you know how I could fix this?

    Here’s a link to the map: https://runningaroundtheglobe.com/race-history-map/

    Thanks!

    Ariana
