Map box showed a green solid, so I added Google Maps API key today.
After adding the key the map shows in backend as usual, i.e. standard non satellite view, but in frontend this shows up:

As it would be in water, but absolutely is not.

Strange is, that it looks good in backend:

Check your defined location for latitude/longitude info. If those are 0, edit the location (change some address settings and change them back), save and check again. Sometimes google api returns 0, who knows why …

Did not get an email on your answer.

Everything appears just fine in backend but not in frontend:

When changing “Stadt” (City) from “München” (german) to “Munich” (english) map renders correctly in frontend! The downside is, word “Munich” appears in location bubble now. Is this language problem solvable within EME or is this a Google topic?

Seems to be a Google issue, but google should recognize both (even more if you say it renders correctly in the background)

Just tried it here, works fine with the German address notation too.
So: check your defined location for latitude/longitude info (in the list of locations). If those are 0, edit the location (change some address settings and change them back), save and check again. Sometimes google api returns 0, who knows why …

latitude/longitude info was not 0. I deleted both entries (german and english written) and left only the one in german and filled in province that was blank in both cases! Shows now as expected. Thanks for looking into it!
