• Some locations have the map working while others don’t. I know the API is working as it works on some locations. I have also viewed the address on Google Maps and it appears perfectly so I know the address is not incorrect.

I have tried disabling API access and reenabiling it which does not seem to help.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

  • Hello,

Sometimes the reason why some locations doesn’t work is it requires additional API. If the location is not working, Can you perhaps check on backend when adding the location if it will show an error on console?

Can you also provide us what API’s have you enabled on your google account? Please also make sure that you have added your billing information as those are now required by google maps.

When adding the location, it states “Location not found” however when I view that exact address, it works.

    9400 W Higgins Rd.
    Rosemont, IL 60018
    United States

    Enabled APIs are:
    – Geocoding API
    – Maps Embed API
    – Maps JavaScript API
    – Maps Static API
    – Places API

Where is billing information located? Just on the account level? or as part of Google Cloud Platform?

    Hi,

would it be possible to try these steps?

    1. edit one of the locations that do not work.
    2. temporarily change the country to any other country.
    3. the map should now refresh and should work.
    4. revert to the original country you set.
    5. save

Just tried updating the country, saving and then reverting it back and no luck. It doesn’t refresh.

Could it be because it is an outdated version my client has?

    Hello,

I can’t give a direct link on the billing as it usually changes, But it should be on your google settings. This link might help you: https://developers.google.com/maps/billing-credits

You could test if the issue is the old version of your pro by deactivating the plugin. You should be able to use google maps event if you only have free version.

I do remember on Pro forum that a user needed to activate these following additiona API so He could make the Map work, But those that you mentioned should work, (Unless google have changed how their maps works)

    1. Geocoding API
    2. Geolocating API
    3. Directions API
    4. Distance API
    5. Elevation API

I would suggest checking also our Documentation on Google Maps here: https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/

    Hello,
I have the same problem. Map is unavailable for some locations.
tryed with the same address (work in once only)

I have had the client add their billing address to Google. Regenerated the API Key. I have the required APIs enabled per the documentation and it is still not working. The only thing I can think of is the version of the plugin is 2.4.3. Could that be the issue?

Still not seeing any change in this. Looking at other threads, it seems this might be an issue with the initial geocoding that is performed on the location. Unfortunatley trying this plugin didn’t work for me either.

    Hello,

So far from my Test Site everything is still working as it should. I would ask our Devs for this one and will update this thread when I receive a Reply.

Wondering if there if there has been able progress on this? I am working with a client that has purchased Events Manager Pro however I am attempting to get access to their account so that I can submit a ticket with the pro support but he has not gotten back to me on that yet.
