I have used Jetpack’s new Map block widget on another site with success. I have a valid Mapbox API token and all works fine on that site. On a different site I recently installed and connected Jetpack specifically for this block widget. I added the block to a post and the API key is rejected with an error that reads… “Invalid API Key”.

I tried disabling the firewall plugin and still no luck. I have created a second API key with Mapbox and that also fails. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Jetpack and still it won’t work.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Hi @acal,

Thanks for trying another API key and reinstalling Jetpack. Is the API key in use on any other sites?

What is the address of the site you are working on? If you prefer that information to remain private, you can contact us using this form:

    https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support

Do you have any plugins with map or location features installed? If so, it might be worth deactivating them to see whether that makes any difference.

I just had another thought — it might also be worth contacting your host to check they aren’t blocking remote requests. If no API keys are working, including the latest one you generated, that could explain the issue.
