    Hi,

The guide was written by Formidable, so I don’t know anything about it, but I tried the map output part and it worked fine for me.

You will need MapPress Pro to do the geocoding shown in the guide.

There’s more info about creating a map with PHP in the MapPress Documentation.

It’s also possible to do this without any programming: just configure the plugin settings to have it generate maps automatically from custom fields. When Formidable creates a post with address fields, MapPress create a map for it automatically. This approach also allows the maps to be combined into a searchable/filterable ‘mashup’ map.

Hi, thanks for the reply, the code of formidable for me does not work, it shows the map with the right coordinates, but it does not position in the correct place.
The map is always positioned in the same place.

I also tried using a simple shortcode like this:
    [form_to_mappress address1 = “500 chestnut st, phildelphia” width = “400” title = “DC” body = “Beautiful Washington, DC”]

But even in this case the map shows the pin in the default position.

So I think mappress for some reason doesn’t work for me regardless of version.

this is the test page with simple mappress shortcode:

    Hi,

You need to use MapPress Pro to do this, you’re using the free version, which does not support geocoding from PHP.
