    Hi Robert,
as I learned, you intend to stop updates for the free version.
I appreciate your really intense work on this plugin. But I only use it on a really basic way. That’s why I don’t need further features. But I see your point…

Never the less would it be helpfull, if the staying version would be free from bugs.

    Here is my subject:
wp-admin/admin.php?page=leafletmapsmarker_settings#lmm-basemaps does not save settings but wants me to download options.php
Furthermore the save-button overlaps the list of available map styles.
I tried with several browsers: always the same issue.

    Thanks for helping,
    Jutta

  • Hi Jutta,
the issue about saving settigns is most likely not triggered by a bug in our code but rather from a plugin conflict. Same goes for save button being overlapped by map styles, which is likely being caused by other plugins CSS enqueued on all backend pages.
Can you please try to temporarily disable all other plugins to verify if this is true?
    best,
    Robert

    Hi, Robert,
I am sorry, but the overlapping-problem still occurs – but only in desktop landscape style. Resizing to smaller screen portrait is OK. And if a specific map type is open ist’s also OK.

BUT: still if I try to save the settings it wants me to download options.php.
    The downloaded file says:
    Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
This is probably a hosting topic – i try to fix it.

    Best regards,
    Jutta

    Hi, Robert,
OK, I solved the saving problem.
But now I want to change the basemap from OpenStreetMap to stamen for an existing layer. Or From OpenStreetMap Colored to Black and White?
    How to do this?
The bulk change tool does not offer Stamen…

    Thanks,
    Jutta

PS for others with the same problem:
The saving problem was a Strato security item.
I found this helpful hint: https://blogs54.de/blog/2013/05/wordpress-und-der-503-error-bei-strato/

    Hi Jutta,

great to hear that you could fix the saving issue.

Regarding overlapping issue: difficult to say what happens here without having a look at the map itself.

Regarding bulk basemap change for layer maps: this is not supported in the free version – you could connect to your database via phpmyadmin and change the basemap e.g. for layer maps in the database table wp_leafletmapsmarker_layers row basemap to one of the following values as workaround:

    • stamen_terrain
    • stamen_toner
    • stamen_watercolor

    best,

    Robert
