    I downloaded: jquery-jvectormap-de-mill.js
    placed it in: data-visualizer/plugins/jvectormap/assets/
created a datafile (as per examples):

    Mortality-Rate,2010,2011
    Berlin,106,116
    Sachsen-Anhalt,106,116
    Rheinland-Pfalz,106,116
    Brandenburg,106,116
    Niedersachsen,106,116
    Mecklenburg-Vorpommern,106,116
    Thüringen,106,116
    Baden-Württemberg,106,116
    Hamburg,106,116
    Schleswig-Holstein,106,116
    Nordrhein-Westfalen,106,116
    Sachsen,106,116
    Bremen,106,116
    Saarland,106,116
    Bayern,106,116
    Hessen,106,116

    added a shortcode:
    [visualize type='map' map='de_mill' file='/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/datafile2.csv' theme='blue' title='Germany']

and do see a map of Germany. I also am able to use the animation feature to move from 2010, 2011. But the data is always ‘undefined’. Also, the colors are all grey (the india map shows up blue).

The map of India (using example datafiles from https://subhransusekhar.com) works fine.

Ah. i see. The values for state/names are hardcoded for a single map in js/map.js

I added mappings for Germany and it worked.

This isn’t really feasible for the ordinary user, is it?

Just loading the map with give you the correct state names. Wouldn’t just using the data codes directly from the csv work just as well. And remove the need for the extra mapping?
