• Hi,

I’m seeing a “Maps Unavailable” message with all events I’ve created on this site. Here’s a direct link to one of the events: https://develop.nvjcc.org/events/readers-club

I triple checked all the documentation, the API settings, the selected API’s (I’m using embedded maps in Events Manager).

I also tried eliminating all restrictions in the Google API but nothing seems to make a difference.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I did try this with http referrers set up under website restrictions, and I also tried it with those turned off. It didn’t work either way.

I currently have them set to:

    *.valleyjcc.org
    *.nvjcc.org
    valleyjcc.org
    nvjcc.org
    develop.nvjcc.org
    *.develop.nvjcc.org

Was anyone else able to resolve this? I see a number closed threads with this issue but no resolution.

    hi again,

I have checked again on your site and not seeing any javascript error related to Google Maps however can you try WP Safe Mode to see narrow down the problem?

    Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. I set the site to disable all plugins (except for Safe Mode and WP Events, as well as to present the site in the default theme) In all cases I still got the “Maps Unavailable” message on events. :/

Getting this JavaScript error on your site “Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID”

Just to confirm, did you mean “WP Events” and not “Events Manager” ?

Sorry yes, I meant “Events Manager”. Is this Javascript error related to this maps issue?

    Hello,

Google requires an API to be used now which can be found here: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

You could visit our documentation on how to add/configure API here: https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/

If you’re also using DIVI, You would need to visit their documentation on how to add Google API keys on the theme.

Can you also make sure that you have also enabled the following API’s and added the Billing Info?
1, Make sure that you have also added your BILLING ADDRESS, This is because google maps requires billing information now.
    2. Geocoding API
    3. Geolocating API
    4. Directions API
    5. Distance API
    6. Elevation API

After you have made sure that you have activated those, You might need to re-enter the addresses again on the Field for the map to show.

    Hi,

Thanks for the detailed response. I do have the API Key in place (with credentials entered into Events Manager’s settings.)

I’m not using DIVI (I’m using Elementor with their “Hello” theme.

I do have my billing address included within the Google Account.

And the 5 API’s you have listed are all enabled.

I tried re-entering an address to an event I created to see if it triggered the map to show but unfortunately it still doesn’t seem to work.

    Any other thoughts?
