I keep seeing this message under the Site Health section:

    Outdated SQL server Performance
The SQL server is a required piece of software for the database WordPress uses to store all your site’s content and settings.
For optimal performance and security reasons, you should consider running MariaDB version 10.4 or higher. Contact your web hosting company to correct this.

And on the “info” page, it says:

    Extension: mysqli
    Server Version: 10.2.41-MariaDB

Now when checking in my control panel as well as the server (I run the server), It’s showing: 10.9.6-MariaDB

Which is, obviously, higher than 10.4. How can I get WordPress to see this?
As I have no idea where it’s seeing 10.2 from.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Do you have phpMyAdmin?

If you do, open the specific database for your WordPress site and let’s see what version is reported there.

Yes, and for some reason that shows as Server version: 10.2.41-MariaDB – MariaDB Server. But on the server panel as well as my cpanel, both show up as 10.9. ???♂?

phpMyAdmin obviously has nothing to do with WordPress.

And if two independent tools are reporting the same version of MariaDB, then you better believe what they’re reporting ??

I don’t know how your server is set up, but one possibility is that you may have multiple versions of MariaDB installed on the server, and your website is configured to use the older one. Or, if this is a private server, maybe a config may need reloading for the new version to kick in. But these are only wild wild guesses.

Get in touch with your hosting provider for help with this.

I would have to get a hold of “myself” lol…
But as far as I know, there isn’t multiple copies of MDB on there… But then that would make it a 2 vs 2 reporting… Heres a couple screenies of cpanel and server panel.

Also a quick jump via SSH to root it shows this.

can you please provide more information about your server setup and the installation process you followed?

We got it figured out, everything (Including WordPress) now shows 10.11 version. For some reason, when it was updated it got “stuck” so-to-say. But everything is fixed and no more issues
