Mark Auto-Paid for Online Payments

Hello,
I’m using the Authorize.Net payment gateway. I’ve noticed that all payments get sent as “pending” for the website. However, I would like to default it to Paid so they receive an email receipt and so the payment processes through the gateway immediately. How can I do this?
