    Kinda, but not exactly. WPGHS works with a GitHub repository, not a local directory, and updates WordPress via Webhooks sent from GitHub. We also have a ticket open to enable creating new posts on GitHub and having them show up in WordPress, but that hasn’t been implemented yet, unfortunately.

    We do, however, support Markdown, either through the WP-Markdown plugin or Jetpack’s Markdown module, but for now, you’d have to create the post in WordPress first so that it gets exported to GitHub, then edit it in that repository.

    So, in short, not exactly what your looking for, but can manipulate your WordPress posts via flat files, if that’s the main thing you want.
