Just installed Maps Marker v3.9.5 – Lite Edition, created a new map and the map marker icon location is wrong. If I select “Get Directions” the subsequent Google Maps window does have the correct location. Additionally, if I choose “Open standalone map in fullscreen mode” the icon is displayed in the correct location. Results were the same on desktop with Chrome/IE and iOS with Chrome/Safari. Please advise, thank you in advance.

  • Hi Scott,
there seems to be a conflict with CSS from your theme, most likely CSS styles with !important attribute, which overwrite the default CSS of Leaflet Maps Marker (you can verify that by temporarily switching to a default theme like twentytwelve). As I am currently on the run & accessing your map via mobile only, I cant tell you exactly which css is causing this – anyway you can use tools like firebug to identify that…

    Robert-
Thanks for the quick reply. I previewed the Twentytwelve theme with the same map results as Vantage. Installed Firebug Lite for Chrome and didn’t see anything obvious or of a warning nature, but I have no prior experience with that tool.

    Happy New Year,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
The issue is that for some unknown reasons to me, the leaflet.css file is not enqueued on your site and thus all CSS definitions from my plugin are not applied. Do you have any plugin interfeering with CSS files, like minification etc? I`d suggest disabling all other plugins to verify if it works then – if yes, re-enable them one by one to find the one causing this issue…

    Robert-
Thanks for the continued support. I have the following plugins installed:
    Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
    Contact Form 7
    Easy Smooth Scroll Links
    Leaflet Maps Marker
    Meta Slider
    Page Builder by SiteOrigin
    SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle
    T(-) Countdown
    Theme Check
    WordPress Icons – SVG
    WordPress SEO
    WP Statistics

Deactivating all the plugins broke the map completely. It seems that Black Studio TinyMCE Widget and Page Builder by SiteOrigin are required. If Black Studio TinyMCE Widget was deactivated I’d get “loading map – please wait…” and no map. With Page Builder by SiteOrigin deactivated the map would not display regardless if I had the Where to insert Javascript files on frontend? set to header (+ inline javascript) or footer.

I’ve sent you a private email with administration credentials to the site if you’d have a moment to check it out, thanks in advance.

Sorry, already created/emailed for your listed contact email address …harm.co.at, will that work?

    Hi Scott,
not sure exactly what caused this – anyway I could fix it – map is now showing up properly.
    best,
    Robert

PS: I also downloaded Maps Marker Pro as inactive plugin during the tests but didnt delete it – perhaps you wanna give it a try too ??
