• Hi,
I’m figuring out if I could use your plugin for a marketplace project on multisite.

I prefer making an example, cause I do not master english as well as I’d need.
But first, let me say what I mean when I talk about Marketplace: I mean a multi vendors system, like ebay for example, with a main page as directory where there are all the categories voices. Then, all the vendors have their own private space where they upload their items and that can be found also from the main directory page browsing through the different categories.

    Let’s come to the example:
I’ve got a marketplace specialized in home furnishings.
let’s say the marketplace has 5 vendors, meaning 5 subshops as we are on a multisite scenario:
The vendor A sells only chairs of brand XX
The vendor B sells only chairs of brand XZ
The vendor C sells chairs of brands XX and XZ
The vendor D sells closets of diff brands, tables of diff brands and couches of diff brands.
So the categories are: chairs / closets / tables / couches and there are different brands avaialable.

    So this is the scenario.
I’d need to know if with your plugin the items uploaded by a vendor on its own subshop can be “broadcasted” “displayed” on the main page of the markeplace browsing through the different categories??

I’ve tested another plugin that instead of doing this, allowed just to replicate and share the items of a subshop across all the shops of the network, so in my previous example with that other plugin the vendor A that sells chairs XX will share all those chairs to all other shops of the network.
This is not absolutely what I’m looking for, that’s why I’ve written my example.

I just need the parent shop’s items to be displayed just and only on the homepage of the marketplace grouped into the diff categories.

Hope I’ve explained somehow what I mean and sorry for my english.
    Thanks in advance

Your English is just fine. ??

I see no real problem using BC for your marketplace.

A will broadcast his chairs to the main blog and blog C.
    B to the same.
D broadcasts their products to the main blog.

You can then use the Broadcast “use parent permalink” to move the users to the vendor site when they click on the product on the main site.

All the broadcasted products retain their categories when broadcasted, so sorting won’t be a problem.

    Thanks for your reply,

I installed the plugin and the set up have been very easy…..till a certain point:
-I manage to broadcast the product page of a subsite store to the main store page, but I can see it just on the backend, while on the frontend, it says the page does not exist and I don’t know what to do now.
    Any advices?
    Thanks

That it works on the backend is good – that means that Broadcast is working correctly.

The frontend is another question. What theme are you using? The standard?
