Marketpress Lite and Gallery not working suddenly

    Recently a website of mine stopped displaying on the website all the categories in the Marketpress Lite plugin. As well at the same time the Gallery stopped working (seperate plugins but very coincidental). The wordpress site is using 3.8.2 version. I disabled and re-enabled all plugins on the site, as well as downgraded site to a lower known working version, all to no avail.
    After about 2.5 hours playing around with it, it all came back as normal. This site I host for a company and downtime is not taken nicely. Any ideas or thoughts on what is going on here?

  • Not enough info for us to diagnose. Could be a hosting issue. Could be a plugin issue. Could be (but fairly unlikely) a WordPress bug. Could be a PHP issue. Could be a MySQL issue. Could be a webserver caching issue. What else have you tried in troubleshooting? Anything in the server logs?

    I have checked my server logs, nothing other than a couple 404 errors. I have done a repair on MySQL tables for the database and as I mentioned above disabled all plugins and re-enabled them, downgraded to a different version of wordpress and re-upgraded. All of this, didn’t help. After a few hours all the Categories came back and website was normal.
