I have a mashup map on my home page, and noticed that a marker that was there, is suddenly gone. So I made a list of the 19 posts, and started checking to see if they had a marker on the mashup. There were two that did not, so I deleted and re-entered the posts, and the markers are now there, but markers I had confirmed just minutes earlier, are now gone. I will be adding more than 300 posts with markers, and cannot afford to check and recheck to make sure the markers appear (and stay) again and again. HELP!

Sorry – my bad, I did NOT email you anything ?? Nonetheless, please update to v9.0.4

Sorry mate. Was away for 2 days.
Updated but the map still the same. Have to generate the code all over again?

Yes, I see why this is happening… Its not the plugin, well not exactly – plugin uses Google’s geo validation service and it has returned OVER_QUERY_LIMIT error for two other markers…. I guess the three HTTP requests (for your three markers) had too little time in between

Can I email you with a version that hopefully would have a fix?

Ok… BAD-RELIGION, please update to version 9.0.4.1 from WordPress. I have increased waiting times between HTTP requests to Google’s Geocoder service when validating marker addresses…

Please keep in mind, when a domain that issues the requests (in this case: your blog is hitting Google Geo service through my plugin) and gets back OVER_QUERY_LIMIT, it may (or may not) can take sometime until it is possible to use the service again, maybe a few hours.

So just update, and lets see if this has worked for you and you are not getting anymore OVER_QUERY_LIMIT. The first time the map is loaded (after post update, plugin reinstall/activation, etc.), the page may seem a little slow, but thats only the first time when the plugin hits Google.

Any page load after that will use the cached copy of the map, so it will be relatively fast.

I hope I am not confusing and giving you enough information as to what has happened

No problem, and thanks for trying to help me ??
But the update didn’t worked :/
And another big problem is that the coordinates that before indicated the correct spot now are very far away from it :/

    Ok, another update coming soon
