Mask URL with a different domain

  • Hi there,
    I tired several solutions to achieve following:
    – I have installed wordpress on a sub domain (lets say – https://www.fun.business.com/wordpress)
    – I have registered a domain name which is completely different from the domain name of the sub domain. Something like this https://www.happiness.com
    – I would like to show https://www.happiness.com in the browser to all visitors of my wordpress page.
    – I can not move any registrations or so, as they belong to a charity organization and not myself. For cost reasons I host this page on my own hoster in a sub domain.

    When I set the Site URL to the other domain, the site displays with an error that the pages can not be found and a search mask to search for the page.
    I tried Rewrite in .htaccess but caused Server error 500
    And I tried several other things already.
    I am not an expert in this, just look for a simple solution.

  • I install the security plugin, and replace the url address wp, wp-admin of becoming (wp ….), now I can not get the dashboard, what should I do?
