Masking doesn't work

Even if I choose NOT to show the redirected URL, the redirected URL is shown anyways. If it makes any difference, I’m redirecting from a non-SSL page to an SSL page on a different domain. I’m not using Quick Redirect, but actually created and published a page.
Is this a glitch?
