Hi, I’d like to know why Masonry Image Grid element is now marked as deprecated in favour of CSS Image Grid element, because obviously I’m not able to achieve the same “masonry” layout with the new element: is there a way to obtain the same functionallity as with the old element?

    Thanks!

    Hi @davidebonfanti

Thanks for using Bold Builder plugin ??

We have created upgraded image grid, (CSS) Image Grid which has the same look as Masonry. Could you please explain us what are you trying to achieve? We would like to help you.

    Hi,
my problem is the image layout, because with the previous Masonry Image Grid the photos where nicely sided with a “masonry” effect (each image retains his own proportion), result I cannot reach with the new CSS Image Grid where every photo row has a fixed size and a strictly grid position.

    CSS layout example: https://www.codognobaseball.it/immagini-2023/
    Masonry layout example: https://www.codognobaseball.it/immagini-2015/

Am I missing some option in the new element which permits to achieve the same masonry layout?

    Thanks for reply.

    Hi @davidebonfanti,

We have declared Masonry Image Grid deprecated, but if you use it it will still work on your site. ??
The height of images can not be achieved as on Masonry since the CSS and JS is different, but if you prefer the other design you can keep Masonry on you page.

Ok so we’ll keep using the Masonry Image Grid element because we like its layout more than CSS, but the question is: the deprecated element will be removed in the future or it will remain undefinitely?

    Hi @davidebonfanti

We do not plan to remove it entirely, you can keep using it ?? Cheers!
