Hello! Recently we’ve been encountering errors creating backups creating some significant problems with our site. I was looking deeper into the issue and it led me to the WP_Options table where there were 16,500+ of these options:

    updraft_lock_wpo_wcpdf_main_semaphore_lock_order_ORDERNUMBER_*

I was able to test on a dev site and remove them. I’m confident that removing these would fix our backup issue. Before I do that though, I wanted to be assured – is it ok to remove these options? Most of the referenced orders in the options are quite old so I assume there’s no more purpose for them.

Additionally, I saw this related thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/options-table-3/

Is this issue planning on being fixed? I checked and we do not have “Enable semaphore logs” on. We’ve never had it on to my knowledge. Any advice on if these are 1. safe to remove and 2. any way to prevent a future occurrence would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

Apologies for the quick update but as I’m looking through the table more I’ve come across a few more that seem to be from this plugin as well:

    wpo_ips_semaphore_lock_attach_doc_to_email_* – 2,233 rows

Some of these also include reference to YITH Request a Quote. I would want to know if there’s any possible way for us to ensure these are removed after their processes are completed? In about a 10 minute span 15 of these rows were made and none removed.

    Thanks again!

    Hi @adroofing08

We’re sorry to hear about the issue. To help, we’ve added new tools in the plugin’s advanced settings for clearing these items, along with an automated action to handle the cleanup.
