Massive Spam Comment Attack Since This Morning.

Last night i have activated akismet spam protection from the wp-admin dashboard. (i don’t know but i shouldn’t have done this). this morning i figured out that my pending comments are filled with more than 900 spam comments. before this everything was quite cool with plugin Capcha by BestWebSoft. no spam just genuine comments.
Please tell me how can i undo this akismet spam control action. This ain’t controlling spam. It made my commenting section full of spam….
i have checked all jetpack option and couldn’t find this. the plugin also doesn’t exist in plugins section…..
