    Hi guys,

    There seems to be a problem in sharing to Mastadon from the ‘more’ tab, where the plugin asks for an ‘instance’, but then the browser just freezes on an ‘about-blank’ page.

    It’s no great shakes about getting this fixed, as I’ve found another plugin that just posts to Mastadon, but it would be nice to be able to post from SSS instead.

    Hi,

    I am finding it working in the latest Chrome and Firefox browsers in my test environment. Can you post the URL here that is giving you problems?

    I cant get it to work, on Chrome or Firefox, open or incognito.

    I’m just dropping the ‘instance’ in of mastodon(dot)social and it just goes to a blank page.

    The website that SSS is located on is (https)midlandsmaidens(dot)com (NSFW) and the SSS plugin is located at the bottom of the homepage, and on all of the blog posts.

    It’s a bug. We are going to fix it within the next 48 hours. Till then, you need to enable Mastodon share icon to show with the other icons in the social share bar apart from the More icon to fix it.

    I’ve just tried placing the Mastodon share directly on the page or post, and it seems to work perfecly from there.

    It’s just the ‘instance’ of the ‘instance’ in the ‘more’ tab.

    It seems to be working from the ‘more’ tab too now?

    Whew, who’d be a plugin developer!

    Yes, the problem occurs when Mastodon is not present in the main social share icons other than the More icon. I will take care of it in the next update.

    This has been fixed in the version 3.3.52. Kindly Update your plugin.
