Mastodon Cannot Fetch Remote Content

  • Observations:

    • ActivityPub Follow Me Block Link results in 500 error cannot fetch remote content
    • Typing in one’s own ActivityPub profile results in ‘authorization error’ from Mastodon server.
    • Searching for the whole site blog profile from Mastodon – no results found.
    • Searching for author profile from Mastodon works only when leaving off the trailing domain (@bob works; @bob@example.com does not work).

    Thoughts from the community and Developer relating to what this user may be doing incorrectly and how to resolve these issues?

    Note:

    • Whole blog profile is enabled.
