We have mistakenly inputted “Player A” with a full line of statistics in a match box score. It should have been “Player B”. I have now added Player B and removed Player A, however in the Player List for the team statistics the incorrect number of games played are listed and now the statistic averages are incorrect for that player in any player list. The player page shows the correct number but everyone looks at the team page or league statistics page for their statistics, which is using player lists.

    How can I correct this?

(I have tried making adjustments in the match, doesn’t help.)

  • I had a similar issue. I had to delete the match and re-enter it altogether. There also appears to be an issue with the way Player lists fetch the statistics compared to a players profile page (when using Offense -> Defense or Defense -> Offense as opposed to combined). A player profile page correctly separates offensive from defensive statistics whereas Player Lists don’t seem to do this correctly as if often combines certain statistics from both into one.

Either, way, for your issue at hand, the easiest way to correct that mistake (for me) was to delete that match altogether and re-add it with the correct players and stats (not ideal if it happens often, but it worked – for me)

    Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry for the delay.

That’s odd. Do you see this data when you install the JSM’s show postmeta plugin? It allows you to see if the custom fields are still there. Maybe the player wasn’t removed from the meta, even though it isn’t in the list anymore.

    Thanks!
