Match Users with Listings During Registration

  • Hello,
    I am thinking about taking on a wordpress project that is a property listing website. I am trying to figure out the best way to have a user register and then answer a series of questions that will match them to their desired properties. It would be like the same process for apartmentlist.com. I am trying to figure out if I can find a functionality like this that I can use that has already been developed or if it is something that needs to be custom developed. I have made a lot of wordpress sites, but I am not sure how to make something like this.

  • Hi @amyb805, I don’t have experience or know of any specific way to accomplish your goal of matching users to desired properties.

    However, you may want to look into the plugins tagged as real-estate to see if any of them are suitable:

    I hope this helps, and that you find a solution that works well for your project’s needs!

    As a user, I wouldn’t want to have to register just to search for matches. And I would want to be able to adjust the criteria at any time, not just when I register.

    They would be able to search without registering as well my client just wants the site set up in the same way as apartmentlist.com and they have this feature which I am trying to figure out how to add on.
