Material section endless loading

  • Hi,

    I am uploading course contents for one of my customers, and wanted to use the “Materials” section, but it works really slow, both on the lessons settings to upload or show the materials, and also on the course Materials tab it keeps loading and loading, takes a lot of time or sometimes doesn’t end loading.

    Is there something that can be done to solve this? Some ideas?

    It is not a traffic issue. Resources maybe are not much but should be enough for a small academy with 1 online course. I work with other academies with more resource needing themes in similar hostings and I don’t have this kind of issues.

    Hi Taisa,

    The issue might be related to caching plugins or a conflict with the REST API. Please try deactivating any caching plugins or other plugins one by one to see if the issue resolves. Additionally, testing with a different theme could help identify if there’s a theme-related conflict.

    I had already added the course page to the cache exceptions, so it wasn’t this.

    I think it can be because somehow this takes a lot of resources, but I don’t think it should. It shouldn’t be so resource consuming to do a query / show a list.

    Also, today the materials at the course page finally appeared and only after some seconds (slow, but not so much) and they aren’t ordered! Neither by lesson, neither by name. How are they ordered?

    Just found something else…
    There are those .tmp files for the materials I uploaded repated multiple times on the uploads folder. What are those, why are they there? Are they maybe being created on that process and that is why they take so long or something like that? Can I safely delete them?
