Materialis

  • I am not brilliant at WP but OK with Joomla. I am trying to get better. I have used the Materialis template to build my site and eventually figured out how to attach a Sidebar by going to the page and choosing the page attribute “page and right sidebar”. But I cannot figure out how to feature any of the Footer widgets. I have found them on the widgets section but am unable to ‘tie’ them to any pages. I have altered the ‘menu’ section so I have a menu in the footer that is there but I would like to add a counter and maybe a Tag cloud to the Footer and I can’t do that until I can get one of the three footers to work.
    It is a good theme but at the moment I still prefer Joomla : (

    The option of adding a footer widget is available in the PRO version.

    Thank you, I wish it had been more clear that this was only available in the Pro version, it would have saved a lot of work. I will have to use a Plugin or alter some codeing. i have chosen this theme really because of the ‘sticky’ Header which is a good option. I wish I was younger and had learnt website design from scratch as it is both frustrating and interesting!
