    Hi @meir321

is the Matomo Analytics menu item removed also when you visit the FDP settings pages?

Try to go to Freesoul Deactivate Plugins => Backend => Backend Singles and save.
Is it still missing after saving Backend Singles?

In the meanwhile, I will also try to test Matomo Analytics on my testing installation.

    Have a great day!

Hi, it’s lost again. Not stable. When freesoul deactivated it comes back.

    Hi @meir321

thank you for the information. We will try to reproduce the same issue and solve it for the next version.
If you want as soon as a beta version that fixes the issue is ready I can provide it to you. Take into account that the beta version may require a couple of days, and the official version may require around a week.

    Have a great day!

Thank you very much for the quick response! It’s fine could wait for release as I just deactivate freesoul and access the plugin and reactivate it for now, thank you!

    Hi @meir321

you are welcome! I was able to reproduce and partially solve the problem.
Please, update to v. 1.9.3.5 and let me know if this is fixed also for you.

It looks like the Matomo plugin adds the admin menu item with a capability that doesn’t exist. This is why it disappears when FPD is active. You can read more details here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/admin-menu-capability-2/. I opened I thread on their support forum.

With FDP 1.9.3.5 if the user has the capability “manage_options” they will be able to see the Matomo menu item. If they are editors, authors, or whoever hasn’t the capability to manage options, they will not see the Matomo menu item, even if that menu item was intended by Matomo also for other user roles.
So, this is not the final solution for this conflict, but the safest. Only administrators will see the Matomo admin menu item when FDP is active.
For having a clean and definitive solution I need to understand what they are doing with their admin menu item because honestly, I didn’t understand why they add their admin menu item with a non-existing capability.

    Have a great day!
