A couple weeks ago I noticed a problem in combination of Matomo and AzonPress.

Matomo stops tracking in the second when I activate AzonPress. I can’t figure out what exactly crashes. But I can see my user tracking goes down to zero. And in the second when i deactivate Azon, Matomo works fine.

There is no visual errors on the frontend. It’s just the usual wordpress error message showing up when accessing Matomo settings.

Other than that, I can still access the old reports e.g.

The support by AzonPress says the errors come from Matomo, therefore they can’t do anything.

I wonder who can have a look and find out?

Thanks for the reply. I would love to do that. But I can’t even access the log or anything as Matomo gives a critical error in the second when I activate the other plugin “Azonpress”.

I could provide a staging copy of the website to investigate if you are interested. That’s as much as I can offer for now as all other things don’t work due to the crashing plugins.

    Thanks.

@mod666 we’ve just released a new version of Matomo for WordPress. Could you please update your Matomo to the latest version and let us know if the issue persist?

    Hi @emermatomo

First, thanks for the headsup. I just updated and check. No change, as soon as AzonPress gets activated Matomo crashes.

    So not solved yet.

I have taken the time to set up a clean test installation. Even if no other plugins are installed on a standard installation. Matomo and Azonpress the only plugins installed, same behaviour.

    Thanks for investigating. Julian

Hi @mod666, I did some testing and found the issue: https://github.com/matomo-org/matomo-for-wordpress/issues/1065 . Currently AzonPress is incompatible with Matomo, but we should be able to fix that in the next release near the end of this month.

First I wanna say thanks. A fix in the near future would be greatly appreciated.

I’ll wait and see till the next updates by Matomo hopefully solve it.

    Cheers, Julian
