Max Booking per Slot on Variable Product

Greetings,

I have set on the max booking per slot , the number 2 . I have assigned a variable product with 4 variations (each one with different price ). When I place 2 bookings of the same variation, the 3rd time , as it correctly does, it said that the selection is invalid.

When I go to choose another variation , (keep in mind that the particular day has already 2 bookings) and place a booking, it allows me to book it, resulting in having more than 2 per day and up to 8 bookings in one day (potentially),which is wrong.

Is there any way to fix it?
