I’ve searched for an answer to this but can’t find one, so hopefully someone can help.

I have a downloadable product, but limit the total amount sold. So for example, I’m selling a max limit of 7 copies of product X. I don’t care if one person buys all 7, or 7 people buy 1 each.

As far as I can tell, inventory will only control tangible goods. How do I set up a stock quantity on a download, so that once the 7 are sold, the item shows as out of stock?

Or am I wrong? Can I apply inventory control to downloads as well?

    Thanks in advance!

    Okay, I’m an idiot.

Fortunately I didn’t waste too much time on this. I set up a test and used the PayPal sandbox to see what happens.

Downloadable goods are controlled by inventory as well, for anyone else that’s wondering and may stumble upon this.
