    Since the last WPForo Addons Update, the max file size on the forum shows “350B” while the max file size in the settings page is “350 MB”. This difference is obviously preventing new attachments, saying that they are larger than 350 B. I tried changing the amount in the settings page, but it won’t let me make it bigger due to being in MB. Is this a bug in the update?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    @samisummerstssp,
    The option is changed to Bytes to allow people select values less then 1 MB. So now you should change the value according to your needs. 1 MB = 1048576 Bytes , if you want to set 10MB you just need to set 10485760 Bytes and save option.

    The problem is that the setting in the back end is not being converted to the front end. I put the number of “bytes” into the max file size setting in the back end and it automatically converts it to MB on the back end when saving the settings. But at the front end, it remains as bytes.

    For example, if I put 10485760 in the back end settings, when saving it changes to 100 [MB] and then on the front end it shows as 100 B, and so any attempted upload causes:

    Error: File is too big. Allowed size is: 100B

    Thus my problem is that the number in the settings on the back end is seen as MB, yet that same “number” is shown as B (Bytes) on the front end.

    I have tried purging all caches, including the PHP cache, with the same erroneous result.

    If you look at adding a post to my forum, you can see the max file size is 350B despite it being 350MB on the back end.

    @samisummerstssp,
    Your issue is a site specific issue and we need more information to debug. Please open a new support topic at gVectors Addon Support forum for deeper support: https://gvectors.com/forum/wpforo-support/

    Just saw that someone was having the same issue:

    https://gvectors.com/forum/wpforo-advanced-attachments/cant-atatch-file-after-update-to-1-6-2-advanced-attachments-addons/

    And for anyone else having this issue, it seems that the setting needs to be changed in the “Addons” tab rather than the setting in the “Topics & Posts” tab.

    This is not the same. He had not updated Advanced Attachments addon to the latest version, so in screenshot he show the MB version. After the update he was able to save max file size in Bytes without any issue.

    @samisummerstssp Thanks!. Had a hard time finding that confusing option. Solved.
