Max Image width

  • Hello,
    in my wordpress backend ive set the max image size for large images to 1024×1024 but in the content there are still bigger images and they arent resize.
    So how can I limit the image size and only allow images bellow 1024×1024.
    I dont want to resize them only with css because I want to limit size of the resource that are downloaded.

  • Media that has already been uploaded will not resize automatically. You would have to edit the image in your content and reselect the “Large” size for it to reflect your new dimensions. I believe there are plugins that could automate this for you, I’d recommend having a look around the plugin repository if there are too many to do manually.
