max limit not stopping customer from adding more to cart

  • I have max set at 4 and the banner pops up and says max of 4 but customer can add 10 to the cart. Cart does stop them from checking out, but only says there is a problem in the cart. If they have 20 items in their cart, hard for them to know what the problem is (even if they should know) but, they should only be able to put 4 in the cart to begin with. Sometimes I need to restrict up to 20 items and this would be way to confusing. How do I restrict what actually can be sent to the cart to begin with.

    Hello,

    Checked your site and cart display error for limitation
    Quantity of product Effetre 006xc Crystal Clear Size 5-6mm can not be more than 4

    You can enable option “Prevent add to cart”.

    Thank you. I didn’t realize that only some options were in the product and the other options were within the plugin set up.
