    Hi There

I am facing the problem that was described here in your Forums:
    https://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/max-logins-preventing-all-users-access/

Magically it solved itself and i went in and created a new Admi user thru the Mysql Database.

Had to wait one hour though and leave the site alone and then it worked.

We are in a testing Phase right now and so it’s no Problem but my question is the following:

1.:What did cause this issue? (i had forgotten my password and so i tried a few times to login and that might have caused the Block but why is it blockin ALL Users?)

Does that mean that when one of our future users will attempt more than 3 times to login that he potentially will block all users from accessing our site?

2.: What is causing the issue and hiow can we prevent this from happening to us once we go live?

    All the best
    Corrado Izzo

I am not part of the s2member team, just a user, but I am wondering whether your users were all trying to login through a common gateway. For example, were they all using the same router at your workplace?

If so, when one user triggered the “max logins” feature, this would then have locked out everyone else trying to gain access from the same location.

FWIW, I think this feature is more trouble than it’s worth, unless you are sure that every user will be accessing your site from only one or two locations. Otherwise, users who want access from a variety of different locations will be repeatedly locked out unless you set the maximum number of logins so high that it has no effect anyway.
