• I ran a test on page load speeds for our website, and found that its worst score was on Blocking Javascript, and one of the javascripts that was causing a problem was related to this plugin.

    The following is a list of the javascripts that appear to be associated with this plugin, that are “blocking” ;

      *** Web Address ***/wp-content/plugins/megamenu/js/maxmegamenu.js

    If possible, could you please adjust this code so that it no longer block page loads?

    Thank you

    Hi MK,

    I’ve checked myself and the maxmegamenu.js file is not being picked up as “blocking” by google page speed.

    Please can you post a link to the speed checker you’re using, and also a link to the site you’re checking? (So I can run the test myself and investigate further).

    Regards,
    Tom

    Hi

    The online test site was ;
    https://gtmetrix.com/

    It reports ;

    [These] “JavaScript is parsed during initial page load. Defer parsing JavaScript to reduce blocking of page rendering.”

    Thanks

    Hi Mk,

    Thanks. I’ve run megamenu.com through that test but it’s not picking up the maxmegamenu.js file as being ‘blocking’:

    Please can you also post your site URL so I can investigate further?

    Hi megamenu,

    Thank you for checking that.
    It sounds like there is nothing in maxmegamenu that would cause its script to be placed in a blocking location, of its own accord.

    I will swap templates and see how the tests go then.

    Thanks
