max number of books

  • Hello Hossni,
    Thank you for publishing this plugin, you have made a very useful and powerful contribution.
    one questions: is there a max number of books the plugin can handle? My tests went great for a few books, but then I imported about 2000 books and the gallery never loads.
    Even if I use the display and pagination options ( [wp_books_gallery display=20 pagination=true] ) the gallery simply won’t load until an error 503 is thrown.

    I appreciate your thoughts.

    How did you manage to import books? Cannot find that option.
    Furhtermore @author of the plugin. How can you change the search button. It says ‘seach books’ now.

    I saw the issue and unfortunately there is no option for the search button yet.
    I am planning to provide an option for it in the next release.

    Importing books was not a problem.
    I created one manually and exported it (using the standard wordpress exporting feature) it to see how the XML needed to be created.
    Then I created my own XMl with all the records needed and imported it (again with the standard wp function)

    The plugin will not work well when multiple books are imported, because the queries to get the authors, editors, etc, to populate the search selectors are probably not optimized.
