The setting for ‘Max number of characters to allow in searches’ is not working for us. We’ve tried setting it to both 50 and 45, but if we enable it and then try searching for something longer than that, the search still goes through just fine. We are using the latest version of Yoast and no other search related plugins.

  • @athemes,

To confirm further if its actually working, could you just try to set it too low like 10 characters to check if this working in respect to your search page results design?

Can you share the relevant page where we can see the search output when you set the lowest value for us to test?
