Max number of Conditions / Limit

Does the plugin have a maximum number of Conditional-rules it can have? Or is the max set by the external forces only (e.g. fixable by editing php.ini)

I tried creating a few hundred conditional-rules (in the text view), clicked update/save, but only a portion is saved.
